Yau Fic Chapter 11

As Lee Yau and Clarissa cross the bridge near the graveyard they can see a light and hear the sound of a violin in the distance. "Hmm hmm hmmm hmm hmmmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmmmmm" Clarissa hums with the tune of the melody, "I love Jessie's music, she plays so well. Even though she plays the same song everytime it never gets old. Everything about the Hot Pot just warms you up." Lee Yau remained silent, listening to her words and the music up ahead. "Ho ho ho~ my my my, perhaps I should start stocking more flowers for the lovebirds? They are quite active this year~" Clarissa looked past Lee Yau's arm to see a grinning Foxy staring right at them. It took her a moment to realize what Foxy said and a blush creeped across her face. "We are not lovebirds! Lee Yau is just helping me because I was injured!" Clarissa yelled. Lee Yau stared at her quizzically, not understanding why she suddenly said this. "Oh dear I must have been talking about my inventory out loud again, there have been a lot more birds in town lately. What were you saying about you and the doctor being lovebirds?~" Foxy asked as she unfolded her fan and brought it up to cover her mouth, her crimson eyes gleaming in the dark. "Lovebirds?" Lee Yau looked at Clarissa and snorted. A look of hurt flashed in Clarissa's eyes for a moment, (is the concept that ridiculous to you? You're the insufferable one here, not me.) but she remained silent. As they draw closer to the Hot Pot they can see a few people ahead. Peach and Justin were chatting by the tree next to the lake and Fay was admiring Jessie who was playing her violin over the glistening water while the fish seemed to jump in time with her song. Lee Yau paused momentarily, looking for the best place to set Clarissa down and Ella walked past him to stand in front of the Hot Pot. "Oh! Hello Ella, I didn't know you were behind us." Clarissa said. Ella just nodded as she pulled out a plate of Milk Pudding and began to eat it. Foxy made her way next to the Temple steps, upon seeing the Lee Yau followed her and placed Clarissa down on the steps next to her. "It looks like the Hot Pot hasn't been started yet. Wait one moment and I will grab you a plate." Lee Yau said before walking over to Fay. They spoke for a short while before Fay went to the Hot Pot and lit the fire, throwing the first ingredients in. Foxy looks down at Clarissa and says,  "Ho ho ho, Ive got a secret for you! Im adding a Mysterious Ingredient into the pot!~ Are you lucky enough to eat it?" before walking to the Hot Pot and throwing her ingredients in. (Oh that's right I was so busy with everything that happened in the mines that I forgot to prepare something!) Clarissa takes off her brown leather backpack and begins rummaging through it, Yeung and Glen arrive and stand by the tree as she pulls an onion out. (I suppose this is better than nothing....) She starts to get up but starts to wobble and plops back down again, she holds her head and mouth. "Are you feeling nauseous?" Lee Yau asks as he walks back over to her. "Mhmm, and a bit dizzy" she replies. He takes a pen out of his breast pocket and clicks on the tiny flashlight at the end. "Follow the light." He says as he turns the light towards her emerald eyes and moves it around slowly. Her eyes follow the light with ease. "No concussion, just fatigue. Please remain seated I will grab whatever it is you want." He turns off the light and places the pen back in his pocket. "Can you put this onion in the Hot Pot for me?" She asks quietly. "You got up.... for an onion?" Agitation is clearly in his voice as he sighs and gently takes it from her hands. "Thank you.... Yau-kun~♡" she says as sweetly and cutely as possible. His eyebrow raises, "Kun? My name is Yau not Yaukun." Clarissa sighs, "have you never watched a lick of anime in your life? What have you had your head in the toilet?" He scoffs, "I have more important things to do than waste my time with such childish things." Her cheeks puff, "Anime is not childish! Clearly you've never seen an episode of Higarashi or Boku no Pico, er but never look up Boku no Pico ever." His face pauses momentarily and then his eyebrows knit together, "who are you to tell me what to do?" and he pulls out a cellphone. Clarissa grins mischievously, "ok I tried to warn you~" she replies as he starts typing on his phone. He sits down next to Clarissa, placing the onion down on the step while playing the video. Peter passes by the temple ruins to cross the bridge as Jerry and Sherry walk up to the Hot Pot. "Hello Sherry." Clarissa says coldly. "Hello. Im busy right now thinking about some snacks I could prepare to sell here. Talk to me later, I have something you might be interested in when we are alone." Sherry replies with a gleam in her eyes. (Uh oh.... what now?) Lee Yau starts chuckling next to Clarissa, "You tell me that Anime isn't childish and have me watch one literally about a small child?" Clarissa peeks over at the screen as the little boy in the anime gets into a car with his friend. "Yup and you are about to find out why.." she holds her mouth to try to hide her smile. "They are only eating ice crea-" Lee Yau's face goes pale and Clarissa tries to hold in her laughter as a look of disgust appears on his face. He abruptly closes the window and puts down his phone before covering his mouth. "Hahahahhahaa!!!!!!! I told you not to do it!!!!" Clarissa cries with laughter. "Why would anyone even watch or create something like that?!" He protests. Clarissa stares at him very seriously and trying hard to keep a straight face, "pfft there is- pfftt- a lot of messed up people -pfft haha- in the world." she replies while holding his shoulder before hunching over and falling back into laughter. His eyebrows knead together and he scowls. She sits up straight and looks back at him fidgety and covering her body, "Yau-kun~ I never knew you were such a pervert~! how can you watch something like that~? Ill have to tell Peach to stay away from your office~ you're a naughty naughty doctor~" She says teasingly. His jaw drops and he loudly grumbles , "dont even joke like that!" She doubles over in laughter again as he places a hand on his head, "Ugh Im starting to get a headache." She looks up at him with an innocent smile, "aww Im sorry~ do you need mouth to mouth Dr. Perv~♡?" He opens his mouth to protest some more but suddenly his face goes red and he becomes quiet. Clarissa stares at him in confusion. "Im going to go do my job." Lee Yau says as he gets up, placing the onion in the Hot Pot before walking over to his brother by the tree. (Oh.... maybe I went too far....)
