Yau Fic Chapter 4

6am like clockwork Clarissa wakes up, she had always been like that, no matter how late she went to bed she always woke up at 6am. (I still cant seem to shake this habit.... Grandpa you really instilled in me to rise early to do much work. Oi... I feel barely rested. Hmm maybe Ill go to the sauna today, I could do with a little soak.) Clarissa sat up and Peach's book fell into her lap. (Oh that's right I gotta return this...... well Ill just give it back to her tomorrow, she won't mind). She thumbs through the book for a few hours and comes across a small sentence that stands out to her: "Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." She snorts, (aint that the Truth!) and closes the book. She throws it at the foot of her bed and gathers her toiletries and towel, she walks out the door pausing to take a deep breath before heading towards the sauna. As she walks into town Clarissa notices the ladies practicing their morning dance routine and the creeper Andy peeping at them over the bushes. He stands up nonchalantly as she walks by and waves a quick hello. Jessie, Lulu, and Ching have already started. Jessie smiles brightly and waves, "Come join us!!!" Clarissa smiles back, "not today, I overworked a bit last night and need to hit the sauna to ease up my sore muscles." Lulu snorts, "She probably doesn't know how to dance anyway, she probably wiggles like a worm." Clarissa glared for a moment before noticing Ching staring at her. "Be careful sweetie, we love your company but we dont want you visiting the Clinic as a patient. But you can bring Yau food anytime!!!! It was so nice seeing him get along with such a nice girl ♡" (Ack! How did she know I brought him food?! She was watching?!) A drop of sweat drops down Clarissa's face, "Hai hai. Ill make sure to visit again soon with some more food." (I dont want Ching to have any wrong ideas but she's such a sweet lady and it makes her happy so Ill just humor her a bit.) Clarissa shuffled by a little quicker to avoid more conversation. She walked passed the bulletin board without stopping. Soon horses were in front of her, feeding on the grass just a short distance with only a fence standing inbetween them. She wanted to pet it but her and Peter were on horrid terms, he was always pressuring her to sell her Manor to him. Though if she ever did go to the city he would probably be the one she sold to, (better than that fat cat Adam Trump). She turned to the left, the sauna ahead of her and in the distance the old Hot Spring that had been in shambles since before she could remember. She went into the door. [Failed to load server. Lol bug jokes]. She walked through the main lobby, it seemed quiet. (Hmm looks like I might be the only one in here. Yay!) She went into the ladies changing room and changed into her towel, lumping up her clothes and throwing them into the cubby with her shoes piled on top. Barefoot she walks into the wooden room and lays on the bench, closing her eyes and resting for a bit. 20min goes by and Clarissa hears a shuffling coming from the men's locker room. (Oh great, there goes my relaxation. I hope it isnt that perv, Ill throw Andy out if he comes walking in here now after seeing me carrying my toiletries.) Moments later she hears footsteps approaching and pausing a couple feet away from her. She opens her eyes and looks up at a blushing Lee Yau. "Ah- sorry I didnt know anyone was in here." He grumbled. Clarissa couldn't help but look Lee Yau up and down, she had never seen him in here before. (Woah he actually has a nice set of abs...... I didn't even think he worked out! Even his arms and legs are..... wait! Oh my gosh what are you thinking?! This is Lee Yau! What are you a perv?! Going off on Andy and you're over here looking at Lee Yau, of all people, like he's candy!!!) She blushed and looked away, "What are you doing in here? Ive never seen you in here before." He shuffled a bit in place and sat down next to her head while sighing. "I was headed to read a book on the bench at the town square when Mom comes out of nowhere and tells me I need to go to the Sauna. I tried objecting but she threatened to make me eat nothing but Dad's cooking for a week." He's face suddenly turns pale and grievous. Clarissa chuckles, "Isn't your dad's cooking so bland that your brother literally moved out just so he wouldn't have to eat it?" Lee Yau sighs, "Unfortunately....." (Ive gotta hand it to that old woman though she knew exactly what she was doing... man she's thirsty for her sons to get married. I dont blame her though, with the sons she has she needs to do something or she'll never have any grandchildren....) Clarissa peers up at Lee Yau's face, he has delicate yet stern features. His bluish, purple eyes were almost piercing against his pale skin. Suddenly his eyes locked with hers, seemingly aware that she was studying him. A blush creeps across her face upon being caught and she looks away. Alert, Lee Yau suddenly moves closer to her, he presses his forehead against her own and his purplish hair hangs down on her face. "W-whaa...?" She stammers. "Hmm you dont seem to have a fever...." Lee Yau says and he pulls up a little bit, staring intently at her mere inches from her face. The red on her face deepens to crimson. "You are such an idiot." She says coolly. "That's the second time you've said that this week. I have the highest IQ in the town, I am not an idiot." He replies snarkly. "Your IQ might be the highest but your EQ is as low as a baby's." She retorted. He pulled back in shock and glared at her. "EQ is worthless, IQ is what determines how far you get in this world." He puffs. She sits up, leans over towards him and looks him straight in the eyes with a smirk. "Oh really? Because it seems to me that Duke seems to be doing a lot better around here than you and he's only been here a couple years." Lee Yau winces and glares again. "He's an idiot and everyone must be fascinated since he is a new face around here. Hardly scraping by, they will see his worth soon." (Hmph. His worth? Who are you to determine someone's worth? Not that I like that guy anyway... his main talent is flattery, even Lulu is wrapped around his finger.) Clarissa sits back, "There's no arguing with you there, I don't find him appealing in the least bit." Lee Yau's eyes open wide for a moment at this, and he looks at her for signs of joking or lying but upon realizing she was speaking her true thoughts he relaxes a bit. "Huh, never thought there was someone else in this little town that thought that way." He leans back against the planks, and out of the corner of his eyes he takes mental note of her figure. She was a petite girl, small waist, large hips, and even larger breasts. Her thighs were thick, yet evenly proportioned with the rest of her body. She had grown well into womanhood, even he had taken notice of the physical change puberty bestowed on her. They were the same age, but he was an accomplished doctor while she barely graduated high school, refused to go to college, and ran a run down farm. It was starting to get too hot in the Sauna. He got up and took a ladle from the water bucket, pouring the water over the steamer. Steam hissed up and started to fill the room, and he went back to his seat. The room was silent for a few minutes. Both of them sneaking glances at eachother and awkwardly looking away when caught. The sound of Lee Yau clearing his throat vibrates through the steamy air, "Have you decided yet? If you are staying here?" She lays back down and looks blankly up at the ceiling, "I dont know what I want anymore..." she whispers. He snorts, "That's not surprising." She looks up at him confused, "Really? Everyone is so sure I am going to leave, Ive been talking about it for years." A smile appears on his face, "If you really wanted to leave you would have left a long time ago. But when it comes down to it you are too attached to your Grandpa's beloved town." Instinctively her hand goes up and her fingers trace his lips, she doesn't even think about her actions she is too lost in thought. "Maybe you're right..... hmmm it's nice to see you smile, didnt know you had one... I wonder.... what does my Grandpa even think looking down on me from Heaven? Ive ruined his farm... barely talked to anyone since he died.... I mean there's really nothing  I have to show for my time here." Lee Yau grabs the hand tracing his lips and despite the pounding of his heart he responds calmly, "Then make something of it. Im going back to the Clinic there is work that needs to be done and Ive indulged enough of my mother's frivolous request." Abruptly he stands up and let's go of her hand, walking back into the men's locker room. (Hmm...)
